Images and Video from Robert K. Recordings

“Thank you friends and fans. It’s been an incredible journey the past few years and I’m honored to share this project with you. Super stoked on how ‘Signal Theory’ came out and the variety of style it brings to the table.” –Statik

https://soundcloud.com/statikmusik/sets/signal-theory-1 Album Artwork from Chester Pink First year Summer Camp Music Festival performer, Statik (Chicago, IL.) just released a new EP entitled, ‘Signal Theory’. The project starts off dark and ominous with a track, I Miss The Future, that includes a verse from Pete Cloudz. Following up with a soul/jazz production with the Chicago Brass Coalition, Radio Burst, where Statik introduces us to his Paul Reed Smith 22SE Custom guitar. When They Call, The leading release from the project, dropping just before the EP release, is a real chill, down tempo track that was featured in the promotional video release (see below). Statik then decided to go for a futuristic wonk called Mad World. Finally closing with another dark, but heavier track for The Experiement pt. 1 featuring Kromuh. Statik flexes his range while maintaining his groove throughout the project. https://youtu.be/gWIiqHKOv5U I had my first Statik experience back at The Canopy Club in April of 2016 as he opened up for Filibusta. Introduced to his music by a mutual friend Darby, I have been following and supporting since. Being fortunate enough to have permission to record some video at three of his performances over the past year allowed for me to create promotional video (see above) showcasing some of his sets. It looks back to The Canopy Club in October 2016 opening for Marvel Years & Artifakts. The Official PL Episode 08 after party with Jubee and Exmag at Embassy Studios Chicago in August 2017. As well as the sold out Spring Awakening after party at The Concord Music Hall in direct support of GRiZ in June of 2017. Statik continues to make moves as he recently returned to my home turf at The Canopy Club this October in support of Liquid Stranger & Manic Focus on their HyperColor Tour. So pleased to watch and appreciate his growth thus far and excited to see what is next. dsc 2409 dsc 2503]]>
