6. Thievery Corporation
This will be my third time seeing Thievery Corporation and each of the last two blew me away with their masterful fusion of world culture and political overtones. Take a ride around the globe under the stars Friday night with this powerful and unifying force that is Thievery Corporation.
5. The Wailers
Envision a “Tree of Music” with all the different bands having a lineage of sound. The Wailers are one of those bands that without them at the base branch, makes the tree weak. Reggae and the artists that have been influenced by that sound owe much to the legend of Bob Marley and The Wailers. Since their creation in 1963 and continuing on after Marley’s death in 1981, the band has developed into a tight knit family sharing that “one love” vibe that many have gotten to know and grow with.
4. Mudcrutch
Tom Petty, need I say more?!
3. Steve Kimock & Friends
This dude is no joke. His traces back to the Grateful Dead are as deep as one could have without actually being in the band. Guitarist Steve Kimock found his connections and made a name for himself in the mid-70’s in San Francisco as he joined the Heart of Gold Band with ex-Dead members Keith and Donna Godchaux. After that stint, he formed the band Zero and worked extensively with Dead’s infamous lyricist Robert Hunter. He has also filled in Bob Weir’s Kingfish (1986), Phil Lesh & Friends (1998–99), and The Other Ones (1998–2000). [1]
So if you haven’t had the fortune of hearing him yet, now is your lucky chance.

Get stoked. I’m stoked. We should all be stoked!!!
1. Emancipator
Popularity has been growing in big ways for Portland, OR based producer Doug Appling as he is continuing to ride high from his 4th studio release, “Seven Seas.
” His set will be his debut to Summer Camp as he is to close things out for a lot of people early Monday morning at the Vibe Tent from 2-3am, so be there… or not be Emancipated…
