This weekend is flying by! It’s already Sunday. This is the greatest thing about Summer Camp to me. Many festivals that you go to by Sunday, the line up is usually the weakest, but not at Summer Camp. There is still so much great music to be heard today!
Lets talk about Saturday though, WOW! The rain did not stop anyone from having an amazing time. I started my day off by seeing Conspirator, they are always a good time in my opinion. Before they came out, I was looking at the Moonshine stage area looking at all the mud, and it was great seeing everyone dance around in the mud. There is something very freeing about taking your shoes off and just dancing around in mud while awesome music is playing.
If you were camping in VIP, you had a chance to catch Lettuce kill it in the VIP tent. It was an awesome vibe in there I had a great time. Break science joined Lettuce and it was a dance party in there.
If you are a fan of electronic music, fans were treated to some Griz and Gramatik last night and they killed it! Griz had everyone dancing. His style is so smooth and I always love dancing during his sets. Gramatik is awesome with the guitarist playing over everything. Love his style.
It’s so hard to reiterate how awesome Umphrey’s and Moe are at Scamp. Not like they aren’t always awesome, but there is something really special about seeing them at Scamp. Seeing Moe play In The Kitchen was sick!
Late night in the barn last night was so cool. STS9 killed it like usual, and it was so intimate in there. They have impressed me so much over this past year, and I can not wait to see them again. It was a treat seeing them on Friday play in front of so many people at Moonshine, and then see them play in front of a small crowd Saturday.
After that seeing Griz+Gramatik+Big Gigantic was also awesome. It was their first time doing it and it was sick! That whole place was on a fire!
Finally to cap out the night, I wandered over to Floodwood on the Campfire stage around 4 am. It was a great way to cap out my Saturday night.
I can’t wait for the rest of this glorious Sunday at Scamp. So much awesome music once again, I can’t wait to keep the party going. Trey Anastasio Band, Moe, Umphreys, Big Boi, Lettuce, The Avett Brothers, Zeds Dead…WOW! What a great way to cap off the festival!
