Ticket Prices are Going Up Next Friday! We have sold out of our Not So Early Bird tickets in record time! But, we are extending the Not So Early Bird price level until 5pm CST next Friday, March 2nd! So make sure you grab your tickets now before the price increases (even if you get them on layaway) and spread the word! Getting Closer tickets, and Getting Closer layaway tickets will be available after 5pm on March 2nd for $180.
Also, this week is the final week to enter the Shit Scampers Say Video Contest! You’ve all seen the videos. Shit Girls Say. Shit Ravers Say. So create your 1-3 minute Shit Scampers Say video for a chance to win a SUPER Deluxe VIP experience for 2 to the 2012 Summer Camp Music Festival. That means all 3 late nights, and ALL of the VIP treatment! The video should follow the same format at the other Shit people say videos (here’s a link if you’re unfamiliar). Upload your video onto YouTube, and send a link to holly@jaytv.com by March 9th. So bust out your web cam or Flip video camera and enter now! Check out this post for more details!

Hey Campers,
Its’ been a HUGE week for us at here at Summer Camp. To start, we had a lineup addition that we were so ridiculously excited for; we had to do it as its own separate leak. We are thrilled to announce that Jane’s Addiction will be joining us this year as one of our headlining acts!
Also, VIP upgrades and RV passes will be going on sale this Saturday at 1pm CST. For any first time Campers out there, there are 4 VIP upgrade options and 2 RV pass options. For VIP, there is the basic upgrade, the Deluxe upgrade, the Super Deluxe Upgrade, and the Rockstar Upgrade. With the basic upgrade you get 1 late night ticket of your choice included with your pass, for Deluxe you get 2, and for Super Deluxe and Rockstar you get all 3. Rockstar upgrades also give you backstage access where you can hang out with artists and enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. All VIP upgrades come with a Thursday Pre-Party pass, VIP camping and parking (various levels) and a variety of Summer Camp merch and other perks. For RV passes, you can get a spot with electrical hookups or one without. Don’t forget, you must also have a 3-day pass in addition to any VIP upgrade or RV pass to get in! . If you’re interested in late night tickets, but not VIP, individual late night shows will sold online at a later date to be announced.
And last, but not least, so you know which late night(s) you want to go to, we announced our late night lineup! We’re excited that Les Claypool and the Dead Kenny G’s will be playing Friday night in the Red Barn; Gigantic Underground Conspiracy (featuring members of Big Gigantic, The Disco Biscuits and Conspirator) will be performing the late night show on Saturday night; and to end the weekend with a bang, Pretty Lights will be performing the late night show on Sunday night!
So make sure you get your VIP upgrades and RV passes early (RV passes will sell out!).

We’re excited to announce that Everyone Orchestra will once again be hosting this year’s celebration for the Make a Difference Treasure Hunt! When you take part in a few activities to Make a Difference at Summer Camp, you will earn tickets to this very special performance.
The Everyone Orchestra conductor/founder Matt Butler has taken its participants, both on stage and off, on improvisational journeys with the most diverse of lineups at festivals, theaters and philanthropic events both nationally and internationally. A laundry list of hundreds of musicians, dancers, singers, guest conductors and community organizations have embraced the experience of EO in single shots of musical adrenaline to the soul. Tuning in to his energy, the band and audience utilize The Conductor as their pivot to the set mood of each passing jam as he communicates with the musicians using hand signs, whiteboard and assorted mime suggestions.

Hey Campers,
Have you always wanted to see what goes on behind the scenes at Summer Camp? Or, do you just dream about going to your favorite fest in the Midwest for free? Well, sign up for one of our ridiculously fun volunteer teams and you can do BOTH!
Volunteer and Green Team Deposit tickets and applications will be available on January 1st! If you haven’t volunteered before, it’s a great way to get involved and see a whole new side of Summer Camp…all while enjoying the festival for free!
Regular Volunteers will work a minimum of three (3) five-hour shifts for a total of 15 hours throughout the weekend. These shifts take place from Thursday to Monday of the festival. Don’t worry, if you can’t make it on Thursday or Monday, just let us know, and we will try to schedule you around it. During your shifts you may do a variety of jobs such as assisting at the gates or backstage, helping with VIP, and so much more.
If you’re more of the eco-friendly or socially conscious type, you should definitely sign up for the Green Team. Green Team members assist in all aspects of keeping our festival sustainable and beautiful, from teaching patrons the difference between (and value of) composting and recycling, to sorting recycling and getting Campers excited about sustainability. Depending on which options you choose on your application, Green Team members will work 3 shifts for a total of 12-15 hours.

We have sold out of our Advance Early Bird and Early Bird tickets in record time. We understand that some of you are disappointed that prices have gone up without artist announcements and frankly, we did not expect to sell through these tickets this fast. To those who missed out, Early Bird tickets are now on sale for only $130 plus fees. Only a limited number of these will be available, so I’d still recommend getting yours ASAP.
