Summer Camp Music Festival March Charity Drives

Summer Camp Music Festival’s Make a Difference and Field Day are hosting two charity drives in March, one at the Canopy Club and one at the Vic Theatre!

We will be hosting a food drive at the Yonder Mountain String Band show on March 7, 2013 at The Canopy Club in Urbana, IL. The drive will support The Eastern Illinois Foodbank. Bring THREE items from the following list and receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Summer Camp 3-day pass plus a Thursday Pre-Party pass! Every three items will get you another raffle ticket, so the more donations you bring, the better your chances are to win great prizes.

The Eastern Illinois Foodbank exists to alleviate hunger in eastern Illinois by providing a reliable source of food for the hungry through cooperation with a network of food pantries and agencies. You can find more info here on EIF herehttp://eifoodbank.org/about/who-we-are/

The drive will support Special Olympics Illinois! Bring a cell phone to be recycled and you will be entered for a chance to win a Summer Camp 3-day pass plus a Thursday Pre-Party pass! Every cell phone your bring will get you another entry, so the more donations you bring, the better your chances are to win great prizes.

Special Olympics Illinois is truly reaching and changing the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities in more ways than ever before.  Special Olympics Illinois athletes have opportunities to participate in training and competitions in 19 sports throughout the year.  For more information call 773.278.2178 or email kmclaughlin@soill.org.  BE A FAN!

This is a Field Day event, so every donation counts towards the Red, Yellow, Blue or Purple team. The team with the most donations at the concert will win the event for Field Day 2013!

Summer Camp Field Day is a Color War that takes place on site at the festival, and year-round at concerts throughout the country and online. To learn more about Field Day, check out the website: http://www.summercampfestival.com/field-day

The Make A Difference area at Summer Camp is a space for collective consciousness. The Soulshine Tent in the Make A Difference area at the festival is a place to increase your social and environmental awareness by learning about the nonprofit organizations on site, take in an acoustic set for a good cause, participate in workshops and activities and so much more. With activities around the clock, the Make A Difference Area will provide you with an eye opening, and maybe even transforming, experience. Throughout the year, Summer Camp’s Make A Difference sponsors all kinds of drives at Summer Camp related artist shows in an attempt to raise awareness and goods for worthy causes.  Thus, utilizing the Summer Camp Music Festival to really Make A Difference all year.  Learn more about Make A Difference here http://summercampfestival.com/community/make-a-difference/
